Mason Jars

I love the look of mason jars in weddings.  They can be dressed up or dressed down and can fit with almost any theme.

Would you use mason jars in your wedding?

Sheri Shepard Dress for Less

On August 13th, The View co-host Sheri Shepard got married in Chicago.

Sheri wore a gorgeous strapless gown with an all-over feather skirt from Rivini.

David's Bridal sells a dress in this same type of style for a fraction of the price.  The Galina Signature All Over Lace Ball Gown with Feather Skirt is currently $850!

Perfect way to dress like a celebrity for a lot less!

The Great Debate: Children or Not

The great debate of a lot of couples is to invite children to their wedding or to leave them off the guest list.

We personally chose to leave children off of our guest list.  The majority of our guests did not have children anyways, so it would have only been a couple.  Our wedding was running late into the night and we were having alcohol and did not feel that was an environment for children.

Pros of having children at the wedding:
- They are your family and you want to include them in your wedding
- You get to have adorable children attendants (flower girl and ring bearer)
- They make for some of the cutest pictures
- Parents don't get upset that you didn't invite their little darlings

Pros of not having children at the wedding:
- You save money by not having to pay for their meals
- You don't have to worry about fussy children during the ceremony and reception
- Parents are less likely to leave early

Are you for or against having children at your wedding?

We're Moved!

Well, we're finally moved and getting settled in.  Still tons of boxes left to unpack and things to buy.

I know that a lot of couples decide not to move in together until after the wedding.  I thought it might be helpful for those that will be moving soon to have links to the moving posts that I wrote over on Wife on a Budget.

Hope this helps some of you!
