College football season is in full swing and everyone is cheering on their favorite team. How about including some of your school spirit into your wedding day?
Both my husband and I are huge Florida State Seminole fans, so we definitely wanted to include something about our alma mater (and the place where we met) into our wedding. The first way we did that was by taking our engagement pictures on campus. We used those engagement pictures to create our guest book.
During the wedding, we also entered the reception to the FSU Warchant. The majority of our guests were also Seminole fans, so they did the chop along with us.
Here are some other great ways you could incorporate your favorite sports team into your wedding:
Host the wedding in the stadium
Invite the mascot to your reception
Say it with your cake topper
Are you planning on showing your college allegiance in your wedding?

Great ideas all around! I'm not a huge sports fan and went to a college that wasn't big on it, either, but hats off to those who find a fun way to tie it in.
Those cakes look amazing! My husband would have loved me all the more had I tied in his love for sports! This is wonderful.
A groom would be much delighted with this kind of wedding theme. :D Having a wedding on a stadium must be a really great idea! :D
That's a wonderful way to work the concept to the wedding

I graduated from FSU in August 2010 and he graduated with Bachelors in May 2009, and his Masters last May 2011.. both from FSU. When did you and your husband go there? And do you still live in Tally? we moved to Tampa this past summer and are getting married in Dec.
I graduated with my bachelors in Creative Writing in December 2009 and my husband graduated with his bachelors in Biology in May 2008.
We do still live in Tally and both of us actually still work at FSU. We might be moving to Tampa next year for J to go to med school, but we'll see how that plays out. I can't say I'm a huge fan of Tampa.
Sweet college love! That is definitely sweet! This theme is unique and refreshing!
You can do the same with your favorite sports team! I love these engagement photos that were taken around Fenway Park -- classic!
