I'm Officially a Mrs!!

During my lunch break, I went over the social security office to chance my name.  It took about an hour to get through the line.

I used Miss Now Mrs to fill out all my paperwork and then all I had to do was print, sign it, and then take it in to the office.  It was really easy.  It took me about 20 minutes to fill out all the paperwork for all my name change forms (social security, driver's license, credit cards, etc.)

Now that I have my social security card changed, I have to wait 48 business hours before I'm able to change my name on my driver's license.  Hopefully that doesn't take another hour.

If you want to expedite your name change process, check out Miss Now Mrs.  It makes it really quick and easy and it's not very expensive.  $30 to get all the paperwork filled out.  That's not a bad price to keep you from having to fill in all those little boxes by hand.

Now on to printing out the rest of my paperwork.  I need to order some more certified copies of my marriage license.

I received a free service to Miss Now Mrs for writing this review.  The review is my own thoughts and have not been swayed or altered in any way.

Ooops!

Oops.  I didn't mean to post the Belize post until tomorrow.  Oh well, enjoy the extra recap today!

Carnival Dream Recap: Belize

We went on an excursion in Belize to go snorkeling at Goff's Cay.  This was my first time snorkeling and we had a lot of fun.  Got some gorgeous pictures too.

We got back to the ship around lunch and just relaxed the rest of the day.

Finally, it was dinner time.  Tonight's dinner was absolutely amazing!

For an appetizer, we both had the fried mozzarella.

For entrees, I had the rack of lamb and J had farfelle with cream sauce.

Then for dessert, I had the Bitter and Blanc and J had the Tiramisu.  Excuse the bite taken out of the Tiramisu.

Carnival Dream Recap: Roatan

We made Roatan into a beach/ship day.  Since we're from Florida, we can go to the beach anytime, so we figured we'd lay on the beach for about an hour and then come back and have the ship to ourselves.

Carnival has their own special port in Roatan with a nice shopping area and a beach.  They also have a couple of bars.

I bought really cute "Just Married" flip-flops from Michaels to wear on our beach day.  Yea, I highly recommend not buying them.  They don't really make good enough indents in the sand for good pictures.  They also kill your feet!  We probably would have spent a little longer walking around the shops, but I had horrible blisters on my feet from less than an hour in these shoes.

We finally went and got back on the ship.  We really wanted to play mini golf, so since no one was on the ship, this was our time to do it.  We had the entire course to ourselves.

The rest of the day we just relaxed around the ship.

That night for dinner was really yummy.

For our appetizers, I had a Ceasar salad and J had chicken tenders marinated with thai spices.  Their Ceasar salads are amazing.  I've been craving one ever since we got off the ship.

For our entrees, I had veal parmigiana and J had penne with tomato and vodka sauce.  I did not enjoy the veal at all.  I think it actually made me sick later in the night.

Then for dessert, I had the infamous Warm Chocolate Melting Cake (which was actually horrible that night) and J had the chocolate raspberry creme cake which was recommended by the maitre de.

Something Blue Bridal Shower

I can across this gorgeous bridal shower the other day and I just had to share.  The hostess did almost everything herself using her Cricut and Cuttlebug.  The Cricut is a very expensive machine, so I wouldn't recommend buying that just for wedding projects.  But the Cuttlebug is rather cheap.

Check out some of the projects she did and head on over to scrappinmargie for instructions and more gorgeous pictures.

Carnival Dream Recap: Cozumel

We woke early to see the sun rise before we got into Cozumel.

We went and grabbed breakfast and then came up to our balcony to see us pull into port.

We booked a tour that was going to take us over to the mainland to Playa del Carmen, so we only got a few minutes to spend in Cozumel.  Of course, we spent that time taking pictures.

We boarded our ferry to head over to the mainland.  It was about a 45 minute ride.  When we got there, we boarded a bus to take us to Xcaret, which is a natural water park.

The main attraction at Xcaret is their underground river.  We got tons of really cool pictures.  It was a very tiring swim though.

After we were done with the river, we walked around and looked at some animals for a bit.

Finally, we got back to the ship right before we were about to leave port.  We were pooped.

Carnival Dream Recap: Sea Day

The first full day of our cruise was a sea day.  For those of you that haven't cruised before, that means there are no stops for that day and you're just traveling.

When we woke up, it was kind of dreary weather.  Overcast with kind of rough seas.  Nothing that you wanted to see in the Caribbean.

We went to the main dining room for breakfast.  Normally my breakfast consists of honey buns and a Diet Coke, so this was a real treat for me.  I had pancakes with strawberry syrup and Jason had an omelette.  Little backstory on myself.  I was born and raised (until 6th grade) in a small town called Madison, IN.  Well, our first morning at breakfast, we sat with 3 women who were from Madison, IN!  One of them actually knows my step-father and used to work with my grandmother.  Crazy!

About 11am, we went up to the specialty restaurant for a cooking demonstration.  They gave you a recipe booklet as you walked in so you could follow along with the chefs.  They showed you how to make and present 4 dishes.  Then, they brought out samples of each one so you could try it.  They were absolutely delicious.  I'm going to try and make a couple of them at home.  This cooking demonstrations was definitely one of the highlights of my trip.

Mushroom Cappucinno

Blue Cheese Spinach Salad

Chicken, Mac n' Cheese, and Potatoes

Tiramisu

We did a couple trivia games throughout the day and also attended tea time (my family is British).  We also did a ton of relaxing.

The maitre de gave us our table change request, so we went to the dining room this night.  It was formal night, so we both got semi-dressed up.  Normally J would wear his uniform, but it doesn't fit him anymore.  Boo!

Since it was formal night, the had the more expensive food for dinner tonight.

For appetizers, I had the shrimp cocktail and J had the farmer's salad.

For entrees, J had the spaghetti carbonara and I had both the lobster and prime rib (I'm on a cruise, I can be a fatty).

Then, for dessert, we had the caramelized apples, which were recommended by the maitre de.  They sucked!  Definitely would not eat these off the menu again.

After dinner, we went over to the Comedy Club to see an R-rated comedy show done by Lewis Nixon.  He is absolutely hilarious.  It took almost his entire skit before I realized we had also seen him on the Celebration.  Would definitely go see him again.
