I'm trying to figure out what veil to wear with my dress. The length in the picture looks okay, but I'm not sure I love it.
Here's my dress for a reference:

I'm thinking maybe this veil from BellaBridalVeils:

My Dress!
My dress is now hanging in my closet. I decided to go back and buy it today. They had it in my size, so I got to bring it home today. It cost me $385 for the dress, garment bag, and tax. Not too shabby since the dress is actually $399. I haven't bought the crinoline, bra, veil, sash or anything like that yet. I haven't decided on what sash I'm going to get for the dress yet. There are so many choices. I'm so excited!
So, $385 taken out of our budget so far. $4600 left!

Raised Prices
I hate when vendors raise prices. I was in love with this photographer, but I wanted to wait until we found a location until I booked her. I just went to go look at her website and she raised her price by $250. It was $1000 before and she gave a 25% military discount, so it would have only been $750 for a GREAT package. Now it's $900-something and we probably can't afford it. Boo! Back to the search of finding another photographer.

Hospital
My fiance had his PT test this morning and when he was about done with the run, the muscles in the lower half of his back seized up. He was in the hospital for about 6 hours. They told him he had to rest for a week and gave him some muscle relaxers. Hopefully he gets better soon. Please keep him in your prayers.

Brickfish Campaign
Brickfish and David's Bridal are doing a campaign where you can win a $25,000 shopping spree. We could spend that on my dress, tuxedos, bridesmaids dresses, and tons of other elements for our wedding. It would be a great help. So take a look at our entry and vote for me!

The Dress

I found my dress today. I haven't bought it yet, because I want to get my mom's and MOH's opinion, but it's definitely the one. I've got to lose some weight before I buy it too.
I went to David's Bridal because I had the day off and decided I wanted to see if this was actually the dress I wanted or not. I've been looking at it online for a while now and I loved it. I tried on 4 more dresses before this one and they were nice, but just not me. When I put this one on, I had the feeling and even teared up a little. My consultant was great. He did everything to make me feel comfortable. If you're in Tallahassee, I definitely recommend checking out the David's Bridal here.

Some Brides
Some people really bug me. My MOH was just in another wedding where she was friends with both the bride and the groom. She posted the pictures on her facebook from the wedding (most of them were of her and the other bridesmaids) and I commented on most of them saying how nice the decorations were and how pretty she looked in the dress. Apparently the bride and groom called her and went off on her about posting the pictures and saying "some girl" was commenting on all of them. My MOH was so upset. She told them that I was the next wedding she was in and that I had the same colors as them so I was just interested in the pictures. Plus, there were barely any of the actual wedding. I couldn't believe someone would get so upset over posting pictures and having someone comment on them. It's the exact same thing as her showing them to me in person, except that we live hours away from each other so I have to look at them online. Stupid people! Remind me to never be one of those crazy brides!

Weight Loss
I didn't want to make this into a weight loss blog, so I decided to make a different blog for that. I need something to keep me motivated and I'm hoping that posting on a blog every day will help with that. It will also keep a record of what I have done so I can look back and see how far I have come. If you would like to do the weight loss with me, come on over to my blog and post what you eat and exercise every day. Weigh in will be once a week.

University Center Club

We had our meeting with FSU's University Center Club yesterday. It went really well. The place is gorgeous. They have great views of both Doak Campbell Stadium and also downtown Tallahassee. We could even have our ceremony there. The rooms are kind of small though, so we would have to rent multiple ones if we want both dinner and dancing.
I wasn't too thrilled with the food choices (there are only 5 entree choices that we have to pick 3 from). Jason really liked the sound of some of them though and there is one that I would eat.
The downside is we think it is way out of our budget. We haven't done the math yet, but it looks like it's going to be over our site fee budget and also our food budget. We have 3 more places we're going to look at, but we haven't completely ruled this one out. We both really like it and it would be nice to be married at our alma mater. We're having our engagement pictures done on campus though, so we will still have some hint of the school in our wedding.

For Those Who Have Left Comments
I am so sorry. I thought I had the comment moderation turned on and I apparently didn't so I had no clue that anyone was commenting on my posts. I just noticed. I turned on the moderation so I now know when people comment and I promise I will respond back from now on!

First Meeting with a Vendor
We have a first meeting with a vendor on Wednesday. We're meeting a woman from FSU's University Center Club. I'm very excited because I'd love to get married at our football stadium. I have spent so much of my college career there and Jason also went to school here, so it would mean a lot to us. The only problem is that their food is more expensive than what we have budget (hopefully we can work something out) and their food just doesn't sound too terribly appealing to us. So, hopefully they have more food options than what they have provided online. I'll update you after we meet with her on Wednesday.

Planning Bio
Well, I created a planning bio to help keep my ideas all in one place and also help other knotties who haven't really started planning yet. Some of the links don't have anything on them yet, but I'm updating it whenever I find pictures I like.

30 Day Shred
I had heard amazing things over on The Knot about Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, so I bought the video at Walmart for $9. You need hand weights for it. I haven't bought those yet, so I did the work-out last night without them and it still kicked my butt. It's only a 20 minute work-out and I wasn't able to get through the entire thing. I stopped about 3/4 of the way through. Today my legs are killing me. One of my classes is on the 4th floor, so I took the stairs today and it was so painful. I'm going to wait until the pain subsides and do the video again. It seems like it will definetely help me tone up and lose weight.
